The New Golden Era of Chamber Music

In five years, Iitti Music Festival has developed into an atmospheric,
internationally regarded chamber music event.
The best tickets are mainly reserved in advance.
In 2008 the music festival will be held on June 11th - 14th.

The centre of the music festival is the most beautiful village in Finland.
The over 300-year old wooden church is
one the most valuable churches in Finland.
Nearly 500 listeners can enjoy the music in the beauty of it.

The culmination of the festival is the night concert on Mount Hiidenvuori,
in the national landscape opening out to the waters of Northern Kymi.
Also a piano is carried on top of Mount Hiidenvuori,
which was a mysterious cult place already for thousands of years ago.
Hiidenvuori served as a festival place already in 1914.

The artistic leader of the Iitti Music Festival is the top pianist Laura Mikkola.
